Our Story

What is Bukolabs?

Bukolabs stands out as a software development company with a distinctive approach. Unlike others, we prioritize problem-oriented solutions, ensuring that every issue is comprehensively addressed by our products.

Our name, Bukolabs also known as Buko Laboratories, draws inspiration from the coconut, widely regarded as the “Tree of Life” in many cultures. Just as every part of the coconut serves a purpose, we believe our services offer holistic solutions to our clients’ needs. This philosophy is reflected in our product names, which are inspired by various coconut products, underscoring our commitment to uniqueness and utility.

Rules

Company Rules

1. Attendance and Punctuality
Working Days: The standard workweek is Monday to Friday, with applicable holidays.
Work Hours: Official work hours (flexi-hybrid setup) are from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Breaks: Employees are entitled to breaks and lunch periods to ensure an effective workday.
Absence Reporting: Leave requests or notifications of absence should be submitted at least three days in advance, except in cases of emergencies or urgent matters.

2. Meetings
Daily Stand-up: Everyone is required to attend 9AM Standup everyday. This is to ensure that the tasks is up to date.
Weekly Meeting: Every Friday at 7PM, a mandatory weekly meeting will be conducted to sum up everything that happened that week.
Mandatory Weekly Meetup. Once a week, we will visit the your head quarters to check your work. This might be in form of surprise or scheduled.

3. Code of Conduct
Respect and Professionalism: Employees should treat everyone with respect and kindness.
Harassment and Discrimination: Any form of racism, derogatory remarks, or inappropriate behavior is strictly prohibited.

4. Use of Company Property
Equipment: Employees may use the whiteboard and other tools available in the coworking space.
Intellectual Property: Confidential project-related information must be protected according to intellectual property guidelines. Sharing sensitive data or processes is prohibited.

5. Technology and Security
Password Policies: Employees are required to use a password vault to securely manage company-shared account credentials.
Data Protection: Company data must not be shared with unauthorized individuals.

6. Performance and Conduct
Performance Reviews: Employee performance will be regularly evaluated.
Disciplinary Actions: Any disciplinary issues will be investigated, and appropriate actions, including suspension, will be taken if necessary.
Promotions and Advancements: Clear criteria and processes for career advancement within the company are established.
